Can I record streaming radio to my hd?

As time moves on there’s more and more great internet radio sites. Is there any software I can use to grab some of the music and store it on my hard drive?
If the sound is there, there has to be a way to capture it.

Use Realplayer.

There is no need for any external software for that, just select the "Stereo Mix" as the default recording device from "Recording Control" and whatever music you will play on your pc, you can record it using windows Sound Recorder on the same pc.
