The Humans Are Dead is an actual strategy board game, similar to War, Catan, Kingsburg and other board games where players have to make meaningful decisions in order to beat their opponents.

Players can produce and find resources to advance their civilization, build walls to protect their territory, strategically place robots to defend key locations, and collect Evolution cards that can contain any results, such as benefiting from Philosophy, Transportation systems, or some other cards that while humorous, can be not that useful.

Watch your robot civilization evolve from its beginnings or fall into extinction.

i really enjoyed playing this. its been awhile since ive run into a turn-based strategy i liked. had a little trouble getting the combat down (should have read the instructions better) and i think there are definitely a few things worth tweaking and expanding.

Do you weatherproof a remote control truck?

Posted by admin on October 6th, 2010 and filed under Toys & Games | No Comments »

Many rc enthusiasts have gotten a model truck to play with outside and then wondered whether they could run it through puddles, mud, and/or snow. Does it need weatherproofing? Many remote control trucks do not have waterproof electronics. Some people try using a balloon or baggie and zip tie to waterproof their receiver. For the battery, you can add electrical tape around the battery connectors and seal with liquid tape. You can seal servos by coating them with plastic dip (dunk and serve). The motor does not need any special treatment. It doesn’t take too long to perform these waterproofing steps, so get them done and go have fun!

The game of chess is thousands of years old and has been widely regarded as the “game of kings.” It has been touted as having been started in the Arab world, not that that matters. It doesn’t. It’s now a worldwide “sport” although I wouldn’t call it a sport — a game to be more precise. This game teaches you to analyze your opponents moves, to think ahead, to plan on resistance, and to consider all elements. It really is a great game that obviously has appeal to not only kings now or the nobility but to all the world. Now, back to my colon cleanse site.

After sending my family to the level of insanity with my infatuation to master the guitar in the back bedroom of our household night after night for over a year, my other half eventually convinced me in to setting up a small music recording studio in a shed at the end of the garden, this seemed like a great concept to me, as I’d steer clear of a few of the frequent demands to keep the sounds lower as I tried to learn guitar songs in to the early hours of the evening.

There was clearly several obstructions in the way though, the very first of which had been whether or not to start with the old shed, or make a custom made garden shed in the form of a little audio studio. Following searching online, I could see that there was clearly a good number of shed plans to assist me on the way to a customized style and design of my liking. I worked out that a fairly simple layout would take me several weeks to construct if I might get my hands upon the right supplies.

My other option will be to empty the current shed of all of the mess which in fact had gathered during the last 5 years and come up with a customization to the interior, so that the westerly blowing wind from our back garden would not blow in lawn debris every time the door was opened up.

My partner appeared enthusiastic for me to use the current garden storage shed, as an alternative to having the expense of buying all the resources for a new construction. She actually agreed to clear clutter within the shelving of the existing shed to help accelerate the procedure up, as she was really aware that if I started the task I’d get sidetracked with much of the bits and bobs that i would come across.

Consequently after just two weeks of organizing, along with some help from the better half, my personal brand new transformed make shift music studio was ready for me to shift in to and play the guitar without having the need to be worrying my family.

When I was growing up I always had a trampoline in my yard. In fact it was pretty much the same trampoline. My parents would occasionally purchase some new springs and pads but the frame was always the same. Those things will last forever. Anyway, my son just turned 5 years old and I thought a mini trampoline would be a great gift for him. The mini trampoline is about 6 feet around and has an enclosure for extra safety. But boy was I right that he would love it. His eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when he saw it. He’s been jumping on it for what seems like a week straight now. I think it’s safe to say that he liked his present.
