Do people know they can open a new tab, type station’s website and most have online radio you can listen to while working in the original tab.

I’ve noticed that a lot of my classical online radio stations play music that is very cheerful and upbeat. Does anyone know any online radio stations that play classical music at a bit darker level?

KUSC. It is a PBS affiliated station operated by the University Of Southern California. They play a full spectrum of classical music (not just the most popular) and will even play more contemporary composers like John Adams and Phillip Glass. You’ll hear everyone from Rachmaninoff to Ives to Beethoven to Telemann. The more ’serious’ music is usually played in the evening.

They also broadcast live performances from the Met (Saturday mornings) and the San Francisco Symphony (Sunday evenings)

I want to start an online radio show type thing where I play my music for others to enjoy and comment on some songs. Does anyone have a lot of experience with this so they can tell me the things I need, and how to get listeners? I don’t know much about advertising or radio at all but I really have a passion for music. I’m 17 and in the US if that means anything.

Any creative ideas are welcome too

The copyright fees will be very expensive…more than $1000 a year. Knowing about music has ZERO to do with radio.

Ok so for a club at school we want to start an online radio station, there won’t be music just talk show sort of thing so I don’t think we’ll have to deal with royalties. If anyone can give me the basics on starting one?

It looks like alot of information is there, and I saw something on the search about $99.95 for the FCC license. And it said that it begins there.

I just got my Motorola Droid phone from Verizon a couple of days ago.

I’ve been trying to listen to this online radio station from Greece.

I can listen to it just fine on my desktop computer (since it has Windows Media Player) but no luck on my Droid phone… =/

Sorry, you can’t use Windows Media on an android phone, but you can ge the pandora radio app. it’s better.
