I cannot tell, I live in a city with a successful, thriving AM oldies station, so I cannot tell weather or not oldies radio stations are fading away.

It’s noticable on some songs more than others
It’s not only on the Oldies stations. It’s a common practice with Top 40 stations that play the same damn songs over and over.
