Sorry, copyright issues and Canadian radio regulations keep radio Disney off theair north of the border. If you are close to the border you might find a station in the US that you can hear.

RealPlayer has a pop-up when you listen to music/radio clips online. I was just wondering if it cost anything to download it.
try it and don’t pay
I know that a FM radio uses a RLC circuit to demodulate the broadcast, but I really have no clue how the hell it works. I’d appreciate it if someone with a background in electrical engineering, or anybody who understands electricity and basic circuits could help me.
Forget the R, it’s the LC part that is important. And it’s not used to demodulate the signal, it’s used to select and amplify the signal.
Very simplisticly: An older fm radio has a variable capacitor and fixed inductor. The cap enables the user to adjust the C so that the parallel resonant frequency of the LC is at the frequency of the station you want to listen to. Actually there are two ganged variable caps, the first tunes the LC of the RF amplifier at the input the second adjusts the frequency of the local oscillator which beats against the amplified RF signal to form the IF frequency of 10.7 MHz, which is ampllifed further.
If you don’t understand parallel resonant circuit, this is meaningless, so read up on that first.

Every time I tune into the local oldies station all I ever hear now is 70’s or motown. I may be 22, but I really do not consider 70’s to be oldies, maybe retro, but not oldies.
And I have nothing against motown, but they play it so much that they have ruined it for me. What happened to the different types of 50’s and 60’s music that used to be played on the oldies station? Is music before the 70’s considered too old now?
I guess that’s what happens as years pass – oldies become ancient and the next decade takes over. I’d log yourself into an online radio station that plays the music you’re looking for.
Where I can choose what songs that are gonna play, pretty much control anything that plays, but at the same time I’m choosing what I play like regular FM stations. Cause I’m bored of regular online radio, like Pandora or MeeMix!

I have done some research and am looking to create my own radio station on the internet but I would like to be able to broadcast visual data as well. It would predominantly be satisfying to listen to as a radio station but for those with the option to view, I would like to include video as well. Anyone know if this is an option??? Thanks!
Your best and cheapest way… and by cheapest i mean $0 dollars, is to register with a video stream site like www.justin.tv or www.ustream.tv. This is use to have your video stream live.
Once you have an account, you can record video and audio and stream it live to anyone who visits your page on justin.tv or ustream.tv.
If you have your own website, you can embed your video with the code provided and can even incorporate chat for your viewers to interact.
Let me know if this answers your question.
Because you can enjoy live audio coverage with Chess-Live- radio, on the air. Sit back and listen to Masters, analyze play, by play, coverage of National, and International events right from the comfort of your home.
It is also the best because it is the most well known, and therefore attracts the best players to comment, teach. It has a good schedule and the ability to listen to old shows helps, too. I never get to listen, though, because I can’t get it at work and I’m always busy in the evenings when it broadcasts. It is most helpful if you have a Fritz interface to analyze along or else it just turns into a list of moves and variations that I (a very average player) can’t follow for long without visual help.
I just moved from northern cali to southern cali and the music is totally different! In northern cali we had the hphy movement and down here theres none of that. I want to listen to my old radio station. Is there a special car radio or something I can buy so i can access that radio station?
You might try first to see if the have a live broadcast on their Internet website. At least that way you can listen in the house and at work. After that, the only way to get it in your car is if your old station has a satellite link-up with one of the services. Very few do though right now. You just can’t push a FM signal that kind of distance from North to South California unfortunately.
If you put the metal part that normally plugs in to the guitar up to your braces you can hear radio stations. Why is that?
Your braces are picking up the radio signal and the amp is amplifying that signal.
I have my own radio show at the local student radio station on my college campus. Sadly, the show runs from 6-9 every Thursday morning. Is there a way to record the stream or possibly download it? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks everybody!
